Webinar Description:

This educational session will allow the attendee to understand the Emergency Operations Center planning process that, when adhered to, can provide a coordinated response to an emergency that requires the activation of the hospital’s Emergency Operations Center. Emphasis will be placed on objective writing, planning conference content, planning conference attendance, and determining operational periods.

Target Audience:

Hospital Preparedness Coordinators, Hospital Decontamination Team Members

Webinar Objectives:

• Determine the length of operational periods based on the situation
• List which personnel are in charge of conducting the planning meetings
• Review the agendas for all planning conferences
• Identify which personnel will fill out HICS/ICS forms
• Demonstrate the use of the SMART method of writing objectives

Contact Hours:

• Nursing participants: Instruct-online has approved this program for 1.8 contact hours, Iowa Board of Nursing Approved Provider Number 339.
• All other participants: Must attend the entire Webinar and complete a Webinar critique to receive a 1.5 Hour Attendance Certificate for each program.

Completion of offering required prior to awarding certificate.

Full tuition is refunded immediately on request if the participant has not been sent the program materials and instructions. Once the instructions (including access codes) have been sent, a full refund will be issued only after the program runs and it is verified that the participant did not access the program.
